With reference to your letter of the 4th inst. relative to the hire of a building at Hong Kong for medical purposes, I am directed by the Lords Commissioners of Her Majesty's Treasury to acquaint you, for the information of the Governor of Hong Kong, that my Lords do not only hereby sanction the admission of the expenditure that may be incurred in consequence of the arrangements reported in the despatch from the Governor of Hong Kong, which accompanied your communication, for the establishment of a temporary Hospital for the reception of patients belonging to the Police or other Civil Departments.
